Jewish Wedding in Spain.

Date: June 02, 2022 /// Sivan 3, 5782

Place: Xalet del Nin

Officiant: Chazan Danny

Bride & Groom: Jen & Joe

Jen & Joe’s Jewish Wedding

Jen & Joe a loving couple who celebrated their Jewish wedding in front of the sea, in Vilanova I La Geltrú.

Vilanova I La Geltrú is located about 60 km south of Barcelona and only 8 km from Sitges.

The “Xalet del Nin”

The place chosen was the Xalet del Nin.

This site is a Mediterranean Villa, on the coast of Catalonia, situated in a fantastic location facing the sea.

Although it is isolated, which gives us privacy, it is only a few minutes away from the city center.

It is an estate of more than 100 years old, designed by the architect Josep Font i Gumà.

It was commissioned by the Ferrer Nin family.

The son of the mayor of Barcelona at the time wanted a luxurious and quiet residence, away from the urban Barcelona of the early twentieth century.

The villa was masterfully renovated in 2019.

In it we also find beautiful Mediterranean gardens, facing the sea.

In this Jewish wedding, the chupah was placed on the top and with the sea in the background.

A Jewish wedding in front of the Mediterranean Sea is a unique experience that the bride, groom, family and guests will carry forever in their hearts.

The views of the immensity of the sea are decidedly breathtaking.

By celebrating a Jewish wedding in front of the Mediterranean Sea we have the perfect setting, full of romanticism to make the dreams of the bride and groom come true.

The wedding ceremony

The wedding ceremony was a traditional Jewish ceremony, with all its elements, rituals and symbolism.

We sang the erusin and nisuin blessings, the bride and groom drank the 2 cups of wine (the last one as bachelors and the first one as husband and wife), exchanged the wedding rings, read and signed the ketubah.

Finally, the groom broke the crystal glass and the guests applauded and exclaimed Mazal Tov !!!!

The faces of the bride and groom showed the joy, the emotion of the moment and the happiness of celebrating their wedding.

Judaism Tips

Did you know that the word Rabbi or Rabbi, formerly meant professor or teacher and that each historical period, for more than 2,000 years, has left us a cultural mark regarding the functions and character of the rabbinate?

However, even if they were not exactly the same, certain traditions and characteristics remain unchanged.

If you want to know more about the rituals and meanings of the Jewish wedding, contact me. I will be happy to talk with you.

Also, if you need a professional, with 40 years of experience and with an open mind to officiate Jewish weddings, interfaith weddings under the Jewish rite, ecumenical weddings accompanied by a Catholic or Evangelical priest, and egalitarian weddings with same-sex couples; contact me.

I love to collaborate with the couples in the realization of their dreams.
