Olivella is a Catalan municipality, located in the province of Barcelona in the heart of the Garraf Natural Park, in Spain.
The natural richness of the environment and the extraordinary views make Olivella an ideal place for holding an exciting jewish wedding ceremonies.
Part of a Jewish Wedding Ceremony is the “Circling”.
Among Ashkenazi Jews, it is a tradition, that before stand below the chuppah, for the bride to circle the groom for seven times, to remember the seven days of creation and in reference that the marriage is a constant process of creation. Also, the number seven, is a reminder of a pace and plenitude.
Today some modern, interfaith couples and the same sex couples choose to circle each other three times, adding one final circle together.
