As the officiant and founder of Jewish Ceremony, my goal is to help every couple find their own voice within tradition. On this occasion, alongside the impeccable coordination of Laura León González from TITILA Eventos Integrales, we achieved an atmosphere where every detail—from the signing of the Ketubah to the final “Mazel Tov”—resonated with timeless elegance.
A Legendary Setting: Castillo de Viñuelas
Castillo de Viñuelas is not just a location; it is a statement of intent. Located in the heart of Soto de Viñuelas, this fortified palace offers the privacy and grandeur that many international couples seek when choosing Madrid as their destination for a Jewish wedding.
For Arlana and Angel’s ceremony, the castle’s natural surroundings allowed us to design a path to the Chuppah that prepared the senses. The architecture of the venue allows tradition to integrate organically into a context of European luxury, simplifying logistics for both local guests and those traveling from abroad in search of a unique Jewish Ceremony experience.
The Signing Protocol: The Intimacy of the Ketubah
One of the most distinctive aspects of this wedding was the respect for the ritual’s most solemn practices. The Ketubah was signed before the ceremony in one of the castle’s noble halls.
Following a deep-rooted tradition, the act took place in a room where, at that moment, only the men of the family, friends, and witnesses were present.
The bride was not present for this initial legal-spiritual document; it was the groom who, surrounded by his inner circle, assumed the commitments of the marriage contract.
An important technical detail for the protocol of this Jewish Ceremony is that the Ketubah was validated exclusively by the signatures of the two witnesses—an ancient practice that grants the document unquestionable religious validity according to the most traditional canons.
Following the signing, we shared a L’chaim. This toast “to life” broke the tension of the formal moment, filling the room with positive energy that served as a prelude to the outdoor ceremony.
The Chuppah: A Floral Haven Facing History
While the signing was private and understated, the ceremony under the Chuppah was a display of visual beauty. Installed in the gardens of Castillo de Viñuelas, the structure was integrated into a classic gazebo surrounded by lush greenery. The floral design, coordinated by TITILA Eventos, draped the wood in soft tones, creating the perfect frame for Arlana and Angel’s long-awaited meeting.
Under this canopy, we performed the essential rites:
Wine Blessings: Representing wishes for joy, happiness, and abundance.
The Seven Blessings (Sheva Brachot): Chanted with the solemnity the setting demanded, connecting the past with the present.
Breaking of the Glass: The sound of shattering glass marked the beginning of the celebration under the Madrid sky.
